Following a painful breakup where her boyfriend leaves her for someone else, Akane Kinoshita, a college student, grapples with heartache and the lingering memories of their time together. Seeking revenge, she hatches a plan involving Forest of Savior, the MMO they once shared, and its in-person event. Unexpectedly, she crosses paths with Akito Yamada, a gaming prodigy who coincidentally is her guildmate.
In need of support, Akane persuades the introverted Yamada to join her in executing her revenge scheme and providing a comforting presence during her emotional turmoil. As they spend time together, the contrasts between Akane and Yamada become evident, yet they find themselves appreciating each other's inner qualities. With increasing interaction both in and out of the game, their initial acquaintance may evolve into a connection neither anticipated.
