Sora Kurumatani has always faced challenges in basketball due to his short stature, which is typically seen as a crucial asset in the sport. Despite this disadvantage, Sora's relentless determination has never let his height hold him back. He firmly believes in giving his all and consistently practices to prove his abilities on the court.
With the goal of fulfilling his mother's wishes, Sora enrolls at Kuzuryuu High School to join the basketball club and compete in tournaments. However, he is disheartened to discover that the boys' team is nothing more than a hangout for delinquents uninterested in the sport. Sora befriends Chiaki and Momoharu Hanazono, who, like him, have lost their passion for basketball.
Determined to revive the team's spirit, Sora challenges the boys to a match, showcasing his agility and speed to impress them. As they witness Sora's impressive skills and unwavering dedication to basketball, the boys begin to rediscover their love for the game, reigniting their passion once again.
