Yatora Yaguchi, a sophomore in high school, is a top student with a rebellious streak but lacks direction in life. Despite excelling academically, he feels unfulfilled and spends his time with friends who share his lack of ambition. Yearning for something more meaningful, Yatora finds himself drawn to the vibrant streets of Shibuya one day. Inspired by the scenery, he impulsively starts painting, hoping to capture his emotions on canvas.
Encouraged by positive feedback on his artwork, Yatora decides to pursue admission to the prestigious Tokyo University of the Arts, a daunting challenge given its low acceptance rate. Despite his lack of experience in fine arts and the disapproval of his parents, Yatora is determined to prove himself. With fierce competition and personal obstacles to overcome, he strives to demonstrate that his potential transcends his initial shortcomings.
