Ichirou Kuga unexpectedly finds himself thrust into the role of caretaker for his two younger siblings following their father's premature passing. To make ends meet, he rents out rooms in the apartment complex he inherited and works tirelessly as a shoujo manga artist. Despite his efforts, his manga sales are dismal, his assistants have deserted him, and looming deadlines add to his mounting stress.
Just as Ichirou feels overwhelmed, a ray of hope appears in the form of Shiori Goshiki, a remarkably skilled novice artist who becomes his new assistant. Together, they navigate the challenges, buoyed by Shiori's talent. However, a strange turn of events occurs when a supernatural incident links Ichirou and Shiori, resulting in her declaring them engaged.
With this unexpected twist disrupting his life, Ichirou must now navigate his burgeoning relationship with the enigmatic Shiori while juggling his artistic pursuits and familial responsibilities.
