Individuals capable of summoning weapons from their inner essence are known as "Blazers" and enroll at Kouryou Academy High School to refine their skills. Each student is obliged to team up with a partner with the aspiration of achieving the formidable power known as Absolute Duo.
Tooru Kokonoe aspires to join this academy to acquire strength after experiencing the tragic loss of his sister and friends at the hands of an enigmatic assailant. However, during the opening ceremony, he is compelled to engage in a duel against his neighboring classmate, where the loser faces expulsion. As Tooru braces himself for the confrontation, instead of conjuring a weapon from his soul, he manifests an anomalous shield, capturing the attention of a foreign student named Julie Sigtuna.
