The Boruto time skip, referred to as "Boruto: Two Blue Vortex", officially started on August 21, 2023, with the release of the first chapter of the manga sequel. This follows directly after chapter 80 of the manga, which marks the conclusion of the first part of Boruto.
In the Boruto time skip, approximately three years pass. This gap allows for significant character development and changes in the storyline, with Boruto and other characters maturing both in appearance and abilities.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Anime Release Date
The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex time skip does not yet have an official release date for the anime. The Boruto anime has been on hiatus since March 2023, after the conclusion of the first part with episode 293.
The last episode before the hiatus adapts events from chapter 68 of the manga. The anime still needs to cover the chapters leading up to the time skip, so it will continue adapting from chapter 69 before reaching chapter 80.
This new arc has been highly anticipated by fans, as it promises to delve deeper into Boruto's growth as a ninja, his complex relationship with Kawaki, and the continued exploration of the threats posed by the Ōtsutsuki clan.
